An attachment is a supplemental file added to a product. When you edit a product's attachments, you can add attachments to the product, edit the file path of an attachment referencing an external file or website, and remove attachments from that product. However, some attachments are uploaded to the system server or assigned to multiple products, and cannot be managed from a single product.
Administrative tools provide a central location for managing these attachments. Using the tools described in this section, you can manage the following two types of attachment. Note that a single attachment may belong to one or both types.
Commonly Used Attachments: All attachments set to be easily assigned to multiple products. You can edit a commonly used attachment's properties, which changes the attachment for every product where it is assigned. You can also delete a commonly used attachment, which removes it from all products where it is assigned.
Stored Attachments: All attachments uploaded to and stored on the DolphinRTK server (as opposed to attachments defined as file paths pointing to external websites or network locations). You can update or delete an attachment's stored file; this updates or deletes the file at all products where it is assigned.
